THE RAINBOW BRIDGE

They wait for us.

Here's a beautiful site expressing The Rainbow Bridge Poem by Paul C. Dahm

PAWPRINTS ON OUR HEARTS

They will not go quietly, the dogs who've shared our lives.

In subtle ways they let us know their spirit still survives.

Old habits still make us think we hear a barking at the door.

Or step back when we drop a tasty morsel on the floor.

Our feet still go around the place the food dish used to be.

And sometimes, coming home at night, we miss them terribly.

And although time may bring new friends and a new food dish to fill,

That one place in our hearts belongs to them....and always will.

Shadow
This is the dog that inspired Kansas K-9 ResQ. Please visit his personal page in About Us.

Josie
Josie passed away February 24th, 2009 due to health issues. She now waits for us at the Rainbow Bridge.

Wendi
Wendi went to the Rainbow Bridge on May 7, 2009. She had been discarded by her prior owners in 2008 at the age of 9. For the final 15 months of her life she was Bill and Toni's pampered pet. She will always be remembered.

Sadie
When Sadie was found at the Wichita Animal Shelter, she was obviously an old dog with few teeth and no hope in her eyes. After finding a wonderful home with 3 other shelties, she became a happy, healthy girl for her remaining 4 years. Thank you to Kathy and Buck for taking such wonderful care of this graceful old girl. Sadie went to the Rainbow Bridge on May 11, 2009.
